This is an outstanding Bill Blass vintage F/W 1997 hand painted velvet coat.  This is such an amazing statement piece! The colors are so rich and the slight metallic addition makes this a show stopper!

There coat closes with very unique buttons down the center front seam and the same, wood like textured buttons are on the cuffs. The base color of the fabric is a stunning goldish green and it has some metallic silver and gold shapes. There are intentional areas on one side and on one side in back, revealing more of the gold fabric.

There are two functional pockets at the sides of the coat with a flap and darts around the waist (front and back) to follow the figure all the way down to the hem. The lining of the jacket is green silk and there are shoulder pads for structure.

We have always loved Bill Blass and are always happy to acquire his better vintage pieces! This coat is labeled a size 10 and has Bill Blass, Saks Fifth Avenue union labels. Made in USA of imported fabrics.
